It is important to remember that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress reduction and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated.
The individual student is responsible to decide whether to practice yoga. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and may not be safe under certain medical conditions. YogaCrosroads strongly recommends that every student consult with their individual health care provider before taking lessons and practicing yoga.
Before beginning any program of study at YogaCrosroads, each student is required to read and sign a release form. For individuals under the age of 18, parental consent and a release form signed by a parent or legal guardian is required.
